Three creative apps in the suite
- pulpPhoto edits and creates images: background removal, object removal, upscaling, photo restoration and colorization. It opens and saves Photoshop (
.psd,.psb) and GIMP (.xcf) files with their layers, organises your photos and develops camera RAW files. - pulpMotion creates visual effects and animations from ready-made templates, with automation and AI (people cut-out, face and object detection, transcription). It reads After Effects
.aepxprojects,.aepprojects in part,.mogrttemplates and Lottie animations. - pulp3D is a 3D studio: it builds objects and scenes from a photo or a video, captures motion with your camera and renders on the graphics card. It reads Blender, FBX, glTF, USD, COLLADA, 3MF and LightWave files, as well as STEP and IGES CAD files.
AI on your device
Most AI features in these apps run on your device. Each model is downloaded once, after you approve it, with its size shown; your images aren't sent anywhere for this processing. A few heavier jobs are optional and go through a server or relay that you install yourself. See AI models on your device.
Creative sites from the Pulp family
pulpCut, pulpRecord, pulpMix, pulpMap, pulpSpace and pulpWrite are sites from the Pulp family, each at its own address. They are not part of pulpSuite: one click opens them in a new tab.
Frequently asked questions
Can I open a PSD file online without Photoshop?
Yes: pulpPhoto opens .psd and .psb files in the browser, with their layers, and can save them in that format. Some Photoshop-specific elements may not render exactly the same: the pulpPhoto help details the limitations.
Does pulpMotion open every After Effects project?
No. .aepx projects are read, .aep projects only in part, and the result may differ from the original. Keep your original project.
Can pulp3D read SketchUp, Cinema 4D or DWG files?
Not directly: these formats are closed. pulp3D recognises them and explains how to export them to an open format, or how to convert them through a local relay, with a conversion tool installed on your machine.
