What you can do with pulp3D
- Create a 3D object from a photo. A closed object from a single image, a layered relief or a point cloud; a video gives you a first 3D scene.
- Open a .blend file online. Blender, FBX, glTF, OBJ, STL, 3MF, USD, COLLADA and LightWave files open without installing anything, with a report of what was kept.
- Model and sculpt. Extrude, chamfer, loop cuts, boolean operations, non-destructive modifiers and sculpting brushes.
- Apply realistic materials. A library of metals, glass, liquids, wood, stone and fabric, applied to a whole object or a single part.
- Animate. Keyframes, curves, automatically detected hinges and wheels, and webcam motion capture on a rigged mannequin.
- Render on the GPU. Progressive path tracing for realistic images up to 4K, MP4 video, and exports for the web, augmented reality and 3D printing.
Who is it for?
Designers, content creators and small brands who want to show a product in 3D, produce a realistic image or a lightweight model for the web, without spending hours modelling.
Teachers, students and makers who open files from Blender, Cinema 4D or CAD software, prepare a 3D print or are discovering animation. pulp3D does not claim to replace Blender for big productions: it aims for speed and simplicity.
Your files
pulp3D saves scenes as lossless .p3d files. It opens glTF, VRM, FBX, OBJ, STL, 3MF, PLY, USD, COLLADA, DXF, LightWave, 3DS, BVH and point clouds, and exports to glTF, USDZ, OBJ, STL, 3MF, PLY, COLLADA and DXF. Blender files are read without their animations or armatures. STEP, IGES and FreeCAD need a CAD module downloaded on demand. SketchUp (.skp), Cinema 4D (.c4d) and AutoCAD (.dwg) are closed formats and are not supported: pulp3D explains how to export them to a readable format.

Frequently asked questions
Can you really create a 3D object from a single photo?
Yes, but a photo only shows one side: the back is estimated or imagined by the AI and is blurrier than the visible side. The result works for a scene, an illustration or a prototype; check it before 3D printing.
Can pulp3D replace Blender or Cinema 4D?
For assembling a scene, applying materials, simple animation and realistic rendering, yes. For advanced modelling, simulation or complex character animation, no. .c4d files are not read: export them to glTF or FBX.
Are my files and photos uploaded to the internet?
No. Opening files, rendering and AI all run on your device; AI models are downloaded once, with your consent. Only an optional relay, which you install yourself for conversions or heavy computing, receives the files you send to it.
Which browser do I need?
A recent Chrome or Edge, with WebGPU for the best rendering and full object reconstruction. Without WebGPU, pulp3D runs on WebGL 2, more slowly.
