Your office apps, together in the browser

Write, calculate, present, plan and communicate: the Office space brings together eight apps that open your Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project files and work hand in hand.

Apps in the Office space

Eight apps for everyday work

Apps that work together

Every app shares the same File menu, the same work folder and the same language. The Open documents panel (Ctrl+Shift+O) shows all your documents across every app, with their status: saved to disk or not. The assistant opens anywhere with Ctrl+J, and F1 shows the help for the current app.

While you work, a backup copy is kept automatically. After an unexpected shutdown, pulpSuite offers to recover your documents. See Open documents and backup copies.

Your files, on your device

The Office apps open Microsoft Office and OpenDocument formats, as well as CSV. Your documents stay in your browser or on your disk; in Chrome and Edge, Ctrl+S writes straight back to the file when it is in the app's own format. Mail, the assistant and meetings go through the services that you or your administrator set up.

Frequently asked questions

Do Word, Excel and PowerPoint files keep their formatting?

The essentials are kept, but a file made with other software may look different from the original. Each app's help details what is read, what is saved and the known limitations: keep the original until you have checked the result.

Can several people work on the same document?

Not at the same time on the same document yet. You can share your files and your screen during a pulpCrew meeting.

Does the assistant work offline?

It understands a few simple commands with no AI and no network (opening an app, adding a sticky note, showing your day). For everything else, it relies on the AI service set up by your administrator.
