What you can do with pulpSlide
- Open a .pptx without PowerPoint. Masters, layouts, tables, charts with their data, SmartArt, animations and transitions show up; the original file is never changed.
- Export real PowerPoint files. Whatever you did not touch is written back as it was; animations, transitions, notes and sections are exported, and your charts become editable PowerPoint charts.
- Animate with Morph. Duplicate a slide, then move, resize or recolor objects: the transition glides them from one slide to the next. PowerPoint recognizes it when it opens the file.
- Start from a polished theme. Eight themes with fonts, colors, backgrounds and seven layouts, in 16:9 or 4:3.
- Animate objects. Nine entrance and emphasis effects, on click, with or after the previous one, plus six slide transitions, Morph included.
- Present with confidence. Presenter view in a second window with notes, next slide and timer; laser pointer and black or white screen from the keyboard.
- Illustrate. Shapes, icons, cropped images, styled tables and charts whose data you type in.
- Print or share as PDF. One slide per page, through the browser's print window.
Who is it for?
For anyone who receives a .pptx and wants to review, fix or present it from a computer without PowerPoint. For teachers, trainers, the self-employed and teams who want a clean deck in minutes, built on a consistent theme.
And for everyone who enjoys a good Morph effect: a few well-placed objects, a duplicated slide, and the transition steals the show.
Your files
pulpSlide opens PowerPoint .pptx, .ppsx and .potx files, as well as OpenDocument .odp presentations (basic import, without animations or charts). It saves in its own .pslide format and exports to .pptx and PDF. Old .ppt, .pps and .pot presentations (PowerPoint 97-2003) are read too (basic import: no animations or embedded objects); PowerPoint 95 and earlier, or password-protected files, are refused with a message. Some effects (glows, 3D, rare shapes, videos) are simplified on screen but kept intact on export. Your presentations stay in your device's browser.
File types recognised by pulpSlide:

Frequently asked questions
Can pulpSlide replace PowerPoint?
For creating, editing and presenting slide decks, often yes. It cannot insert videos, edit the slide master, or play the videos and sounds of an imported file, although those are kept on export.
How do I open a PowerPoint file online?
Open pulpSlide and drop the .pptx onto the window, or click Open a file. A window sums up what was brought in and what is simplified on screen.
Will my animations be kept?
Yes. The file's animations are imported, and those pulpSlide cannot play (exits, motion paths) stay in the exported file as long as you do not edit the animations of their slide.
Can I open a Google Slides or Keynote presentation?
Export it to PowerPoint (.pptx) from Google Slides or Keynote first, then open that file in pulpSlide.
Does pulpSlide work offline?
Yes, once loaded: creating, importing, exporting and presenting all work offline. Only the pulpAssist assistant needs a network connection.
