pulpSuite apps lay out your pages themselves, at the exact size of the chosen paper, then hand over to the browser's print window. That window is where you pick the printer, or choose to save as PDF.
- In the app, choose Print (each app's help page tells you where the command is).
- If the app shows a preview, set the paper, orientation and options, then confirm.
- The browser's print window opens: choose the printer and start printing.
A web page can't print without going through that window. That's on purpose: you stay in control of the printer.
The apps' previews show the pages exactly as they will be printed. A single document can mix paper formats, for example some pages in portrait and others in landscape.
Save as PDF
In the browser's print window, choose the Save as PDF destination (Chrome, Edge) or your system's PDF option. The suggested file name is the document's name.
Notices printed automatically
Some documents carry a short notice at the foot of every page, in the interface language. It also shows in the preview.
- pulpBuild (plans, electrical and plumbing diagrams, calculation notes, quantities, estimates, site reports): a notice reminds readers that the document is indicative only and does not replace an architect, a structural engineering firm or a qualified professional. It is printed on every page and also added to exported files (drawings, spreadsheets, building models). It can't be removed.
- pulpHome: printouts remind you that dates and amounts were read automatically and must be checked against the original documents.
- pulpArchive (filing plan), pulpClient (personal-data report on a record), pulpForge (printouts) and pulpProduct (bills of materials): a general notice reminds readers that the document must be checked by the user before any use.
Frequently asked questions
The printout is cut off or shifted.
In the browser window, check that the paper size matches the one chosen in the app, and that the scale is 100% (or “Default”).
Background colours don't print.
pulpSuite asks the browser to print backgrounds. If your browser still drops them, tick Background graphics in the print window's options.
