pulpSuite works without an account: documents, spreadsheets, presentations, notes and every app can be used without signing up. The pulpSuite account is free and optional. It is only used by the pulpSuite online services that ask for it: currently mail on the pulpSuite server (see Mail and account sign-in) and the online assistant beyond the no-account trial (see pulpAssist).
Sign in or create your account
There is no password: each time you sign in, you get a code by email.
- Open My account: the round button at the top of the home screen, or My account in the apps menu (the nine-dot button in every app).
- Enter your email address, tick the terms of use box, then click Get a code.
- Open the message from pulpSuite and enter the 6-digit code. You can also click the link in the message: it signs you in on the device where you open it.
If you didn't have an account yet, it is created at this step, along with the date you accepted the terms of use.
Stay signed in and manage your devices
- Once signed in, you stay signed in on that device for 30 days after you last used it. Each use extends this period.
- The Signed-in devices section lists every browser where you signed in, with its last use. Sign out on a line removes access for another device, such as a borrowed computer or a lost phone.
- Sign out removes access on this device; Sign out of all devices removes it everywhere, including here.
Privacy and AI
In My account, the Privacy and AI section brings your consents together:
- Europe, United States, Asia: the regions whose AI services the online assistant may use. What you entrust to the assistant (the content of your emails and documents) may be sent to them. With the United States and Asia, your data leaves the European Union; Asia protects data less well and is not advised for sensitive content. The services in each region are named in Privacy.
- Online backup of emails and Online backup of documents: coming soon. For now, only your consent is recorded: nothing is sent or backed up.
- Data not guaranteed: “pulpSuite does not guarantee against data loss; keep your own backups.” This consent is required to turn on online backup.
Good to know:
- Nothing is ticked when the account is created. With your first online question, the assistant offers you the regions; Europe is suggested, but not ticked for you.
- You can untick a consent at any time. The withdrawal counts straight away; an authorization already given to the assistant expires within 15 minutes at most.
- Each consent is dated and tied to the version of the text accepted. Every change is added to a history that is never altered, kept as long as the account exists and deleted with it.
The details are in Privacy.
Free or paid plan
The pulpSuite account is free. With it, the online assistant gives you 5 exchanges every 5 minutes, within a daily limit. A paid plan is planned, with priority and no rate limit; it is not on sale yet. The account records your plan and its end date. See The online assistant.
Delete your account
In My account, under Delete the account, click Delete my account, then Delete permanently. The account, its list of devices, any pending codes, your consents and their history are erased straight away. Your documents are not affected: they are on your devices, not in the account.
What the account keeps
The account keeps very little, on the pulpSuite server: your email address, the creation date, the version and date of the terms of use you accepted, your consents and their history, your plan and its end date, and the list of your signed-in devices. It contains no documents and no password. Details and retention periods are in Privacy.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use pulpSuite?
No. Every app works without an account, and so does the assistant's AI on this device. Only mail on the pulpSuite server and the online assistant beyond the no-account trial ask you to sign in, so that these services can't be used by just anyone.
I don't receive the message with the code
Check your spam folder and the address you typed. You can ask for a new code after 30 seconds. To prevent abuse, the number of codes per address is limited: after several requests in a row, wait a few minutes.
The link in the message no longer works
The link and the code go together: as soon as one of them has been used, or after 10 minutes, the other is no longer valid. Ask for a new code.
Can someone sign in with my address?
Not without the code sent to your mailbox. If you receive a code you didn't ask for, just ignore the message.
I no longer have access to my email address
The account is tied to your address: without it, you can no longer sign in. Create a new account with your new address; your documents, which are on your devices, are not affected.
