A space gathers everything about one part of your life: family, work, an association, a blended family… Each space has its own mailboxes, calendars, contacts, tasks, documents and notes. Nothing gets mixed up, and you switch from one to the other in one click.
As long as you have only one space, you don't see it: pulpSuite stays exactly as before.
Create a space
pulpSuite suggests it at the right time: when you add to pulpInbox a mailbox from another address than yours (your office, your club), a question appears: “Is this mailbox for work, an association, another family? Create a separate space?”. Answer Yes to create the space, No to keep the mailbox with the others.
You can also create one yourself at any time:
- On the home screen, click the pulpSuite logo at the top left; in an app, open the app menu (the nine dots).
- Choose New space….
- Pick its type: Family, Work, Association or Other.
- Give it a name and a color, then click Create space.
The type highlights, on the home screen, the apps you will use most:
| Type | Highlighted apps |
|---|---|
| Family | pulpHome, pulpInbox, pulpPhoto, pulpDoc, pulpNote |
| Work | pulpInbox, pulpDoc, pulpSheet, pulpPlan, pulpClient, pulpCrew |
| Association | pulpHome, pulpInbox, pulpSheet, pulpCrew, pulpDoc |
Before creating the space, click an app in the list to remove or add it. Every app stays available in every space: nothing is ever hidden.
Switch between spaces
As soon as you have two spaces, a badge in the space's color appears at the top left of the home screen and in each app's bar. Click it and choose the space. pulpSuite reopens right away in that space; your open documents are kept and you find them again when you come back.
Other pulpSuite windows open on the same computer move to the new space too.
What belongs to each space
- mailboxes, calendars and contacts;
- tasks, deadlines, reminders and sticky notes;
- documents, work folder (“My documents”) and shared files;
- pulpHome data;
- the assistant's conversations and settings;
- backup and sharing settings.
What all spaces share
- the apps themselves;
- your pulpSuite account, language and appearance;
- AI models already downloaded: they are not downloaded a second time.
Highlight an app
On the home screen, the Highlighted row shows the space's apps. Click the cross next to an app to remove it, or Highlight… to add one.
Rename or delete a space
Click the space badge, then Manage spaces…. You can change the name, the color and the highlighted apps.
Deleting a space permanently erases everything in it: mail kept on this device, documents, notes, tasks… pulpSuite first offers to make a backup (a file to keep on your computer), then asks you to confirm by typing the space's name. A backup is restored into a new space with Restore a backup….
Your first space, “My space”, cannot be deleted: you can only rename it.
Frequently asked questions
Is my earlier data still there?
Yes. Everything you had before creating a second space is in “My space”, with nothing to do.
Can I move an email or a document to another space?
Not yet. Save the document to your disk, then open it from the other space.
Does file sharing work in each space?
Yes, but separately: a phone or computer paired in the Work space is not paired in the Family space. See Share a file.
