This page sums up, in plain language, the pulpSuite terms of use and the notices shown in the apps. Only the full text of the terms is authoritative.
Accepting the terms
On first launch, pulpSuite shows the key points and asks you to accept the terms. The question comes back with each new version of the text. You can read the terms again at any time from the home page, the “About” page or the apps menu.
Your acceptance is kept in your browser, with the version and the date; if you have a pulpSuite account, it is also recorded with the account. Some information in the text, such as the publisher's contact details, is still marked “to be completed”.
The key points
- Software provided as is: pulpSuite evolves regularly; features may be added, changed or removed.
- Results to check: calculations, file conversions, automatically generated content, simulations. They are not professional advice.
- Data not guaranteed: pulpSuite does not guarantee against data loss; keep your own backups (see below).
- Your backups: backup copies don't replace saving. Save to disk and keep your own copies on another medium (see Open documents and backup copies).
- Availability: features that go through a server (updates, meetings, mail, assistant, AI models) can be interrupted. What runs on your device stays usable offline as far as possible.
- Third-party services you connect (mail, calendar, AI provider) follow their own terms.
- Files from other software may be read incompletely: keep the original until you have checked the result. Macros only run with your consent.
- Your rights: nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law gives you, especially as a consumer.
Data not guaranteed
Your documents are saved on your devices, under your responsibility. Online backup of emails and documents doesn't exist yet: you can already consent to it in My account, but nothing is sent or backed up today. When it becomes available, turning it on will also require you to accept this lack of guarantee.
The online assistant
On online pulpSuite (www.pulpsuite.com), the pulpAssist assistant works as follows:
- AI on this device: free and unlimited; nothing leaves your computer.
- No-account trial: 5 exchanges per day per device (10 per day for the same IP address), to Mistral AI (France) only, after ticking a box just before sending.
- Free account: providers from the regions you accepted, up to 5 exchanges per 5-minute period and 200 exchanges per day, with a daily answer volume and a separate limit for the Precise level.
- Paid account: not on sale yet; no online payment is in place. It will offer priority when the service is busy and no rate limit, subject to a very high safety cap and the service's overall cap.
An exchange is one round trip with the AI service; one question can count as several. Daily counters reset every night, at midnight Coordinated Universal Time. Like any feature that goes through a server, the online assistant can be interrupted or slowed down.
Data recipients
What you send to the online assistant is passed on, through the pulpSuite gateway in Paris, to an AI provider from the regions you accepted in My account, under Privacy and AI. Nothing is accepted in advance.
| Region | Providers | Country |
|---|---|---|
| Europe | Mistral AI | France |
| United States | Anthropic, OpenAI, Google (Gemini), OpenRouter, xAI | United States |
| Asia | DeepSeek, Moonshot AI (Kimi), Zhipu (GLM) | China |
| Region of the model's publisher | Mammouth (relay to various publishers) | France |
- With the United States and Asia regions, data is transferred outside the European Union. The laws of these countries may allow their authorities to access it.
- The Asia region offers weaker data protection: avoid it for sensitive or confidential content.
- Each provider processes the data under its own terms, which you can read on its website.
- The details (relays, what is sent, no-account trial) are in Privacy.
Hosting
All pulpSuite servers are hosted in Paris (France) by Hostinger, on a virtual private server (VPS).
Notices by area
Some apps show a short notice where it matters: next to the feature involved, or before an action.
| Area | Where it appears | In short |
|---|---|---|
| AI | Before a model download, in apps that produce AI content | Answers, text, images, transcripts and translations can be wrong or made up. Review them, and never rely on them alone for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. |
| Formulas and macros | pulpSheet | Results depend on the data and may differ from another spreadsheet. They are not financial, accounting or tax advice. |
| Hardware | pulpCircuit, pulpCase, pulpRobot, pulpLab | Electrical, laser and mechanical risks. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and keep the emergency stop within reach; a simulation replaces neither a careful test nor a check by a qualified professional. |
| Meetings | pulpCrew | Automatic transcripts may contain errors or misattributed words. Review them, and tell participants before recording or transcribing. |
| pulpInbox | Your accounts depend on their providers. A sync, a rule or a deletion can affect the server. | |
| Building | pulpBuild | A reinforced notice, see below. |
| Home | pulpHome | An organising aid, not medical, legal, tax or financial advice. Dates and amounts read automatically must be checked against the original document. |
Building: a reinforced notice
This notice comes back with every document opened in pulpBuild. An equivalent notice is printed at the foot of every page and added to every export (see Print).
Personal data
By default, your documents stay on your device. The pulpSuite “About” page states which data leaves your device, to whom and why. The pulpSuite servers are in Paris, with Hostinger; online AI providers only receive your data for the regions you accepted. Your consents are dated, tied to the version of the text accepted, and can be withdrawn at any time. See also Privacy.
